Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of the modern workplace. Microsoft 365 Copilot, GenAI tools, and SaaS applications significantly boost employee productivity, but at the same time, they create new challenges related to data security, compliance, and control over access to information.
During the workshop , we will demonstrate a practical approach to building a secure Microsoft 365 environment that allows organizations to harness the power of AI without losing control over their business data.
We will also demonstrate how the Microsoft Security platform, powered by Microsoft Purview, enables the identification, classification, and protection of data used by users and AI tools. Participants will also learn how to monitor the use of generative AI applications and implement effective Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, and Insider Risk Management mechanisms.

Secure your data with Microsoft Purview
We'll show you how Microsoft Purview helps automatically classify information, apply confidentiality labels and Data Loss Prevention policies, and protect documents and emails. We'll also discuss information lifecycle management and mechanisms for identifying risky user activities.
This enables the organization to better control what data it holds, where it is located, and how it can be used.
Take Control of Shadow IT and Shadow AI
Unauthorized SaaS applications and public AI tools may fall outside the scope of traditional security mechanisms. During the session, we will demonstrate how to detect such services, monitor data flows between the organization and external platforms, and define policies to mitigate the risk of data leaks.
It also serves as a starting point for creating a coherent AI governance model that allows an organization to leverage AI without losing control over security and compliance.
Detect threats and respond faster
Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Cloud form an integrated ecosystem that enables organizations to monitor threats across their entire environment. We’ll show you how to use these solutions to detect incidents, automate responses, and identify new threats related to the use of AI.
