More and more development teams are using AI tools today.

The problem is that, in many cases, this amounts to nothing more than generating snippets of code, rather than providing real support for the programmer’s entire workflow.

During the talk “Kiro: AI-powered development in practice,” we’ll show you how to use Kiro as an AI development environment that helps speed up your daily coding work—from code generation and debugging to the automation of repetitive tasks.

The lecture will be given by Rafał Gądek, who will demonstrate practical examples of using Kiro in software development.

When used effectively in software development, AI can really help with:

  • faster code generation,
  • analyzing and correcting errors,
  • troubleshooting issues,
  • automation of repetitive tasks,
  • a better understanding of the existing code,
  • working on a project, even if you're just starting to code.

The central element is a shield with a code symbol, surrounded by cards with icons representing code generation, debugging, error analysis, task automation, better code understanding, and support for beginners. On the left is a laptop with a “Kiro AI” panel, and on the right is a checklist titled “What will you learn?”.

What will you learn?

During the talk, we’ll show how Kiro can support developers in their day-to-day work—not as a “magical code generator,” but as a practical pair programmer who’s there when you need them.

Among other things, you'll learn:

  • what is Kiro and how it works as an AI development environment,
  • how to use Kiro to speed up your coding work,
  • how to write code faster, but still thoughtfully and without losing control,
  • how to use AI for debugging and troubleshooting,
  • how to automate tasks you don't want to do manually,
  • how AI can support people who are just starting out in programming,
  • where AI assistance ends and human decision-making is still needed

Why is it worth participating?

After the lecture, you will know:

  • how to use Kiro in your day-to-day development work,
  • which tasks are worth delegating to AI, and which still require your oversight,
  • how to view AI as a support rather than a threat,
  • how to reduce the time spent on repetitive parts of a project,
  • how to move from an idea to working code more quickly.

This won’t be a presentation about how “AI will change everything.” It will be a practical demonstration of how AI can streamline specific coding tasks right here and now.

If you want to see how AI can become your pair programmer—even if you're just starting out in programming—this talk is for you.
